Total noob here so take this with a grain of salt πŸ˜… I only made my first deposit a couple months back and I'm still figuring bonuses out. I saw the Cosmo Casino welcome offer and thought it looked alright, then read about the wagering and got cold feet. Like, how many times through do you actually have to spin it before you can cash anything out? And do the free spins even count towards clearing it or are they just a taster? Maybe I'm being dumb but the whole thing feels like you deposit, play through forever, and end up with nothing to show. Would love to hear from anyone in NZ who's actually cleared it. Did the wagering turn out fair or was it a trap? πŸ€”πŸ™

Cold feet is your gut doing the maths for you, trust it πŸ˜… Cosmo takes NZ players fine but the welcome wagering there has a rep for being steep, and I only ever take a bonus if the playthrough on my usual bet per spin still leaves the bankroll breathing. No shame in skipping it and just depositing raw, cleared a lot more that way than chasing bonus terms that grind you down πŸ’Έ
Bonus taken, wagering cleared.

This might be a dumb question πŸ˜… when you say playthrough leaves the bankroll breathing, do you mean the wagering counts every spin towards clearing the bonus? Still learning bonuses here πŸ™ˆ

Aye Harry, no dumb question mate. Playthrough just means you have to bet the bonus money over and over before it turns into real cash, so every spin counts towards that total but your winnings stay locked until it's done. SweetAsLocal's point is if the required turnover is huge compared to what you bet per spin, your bankroll dies of old age before you clear it. I busted more banks than you've deposited learning that one the hard way πŸ˜„
I remember the old slots first-hand.

Every bonus looks steep till you read the fine print properly, that's my only rule after all these years πŸ˜„ ReelDivaGold love, you did the right thing by hesitating. Harry asked a fair question and Diamond answered it well, though I'd add one thing nobody's mentioned yet. What actually matters with the Cosmo welcome offer is which games count towards the playthrough and at what rate. Old slots used to count everything at 100%, but these days a lot of places weight the pokies down or knock certain games out entirely, so your spins might be clearing at a trickle. Nobody in this thread has said whether Cosmo does that or not, and I'm not guessing. My advice to you two newbies: find that weighting table before you deposit a single NZ$, because the headline wagering number only tells you half the story. Gut feeling plus fine print, that's the combo that keeps a bankroll alive πŸ˜‰
It's all hit and busted before, folks.

So is the Cosmo welcome offer worth a deposit then, or nah? 😬 I'd rather deposit bare and grind the wagering slow than skip it and wonder. Still learning bonuses here πŸ™
