Why does Cosmo Casino's NZ welcome offer differ between accounts

Noticed this thread cos I signed up to Cosmo a while back and my mate's welcome offer looked different to mine when we compared... same NZ addresses, both newish accounts, so what's that about? Personalised bonuses are a thing for sure, but if they're showing one punter a bigger match and another a smaller one, the wagering tied to it might differ too, and that's the bit that actually matters. A juicy looking offer means nothing if the rollover's a grind through games that barely count. So question for you lot: those of you seeing different versions of the Cosmo welcome deal - did the playthrough differ too, or just the size? And which games counted towards it when you checked the terms? I'd rather take a smaller bonus that counts my favourite slots fully than a huge headline number where half the lobby contributes nothing 😅 keen to hear what versions people got.
The hit is close, I can feel it.

Makes you wonder if the rollover differs between accounts too, cos a bigger looking offer with nastier wagering is often the worse deal. My rule: compare which games count toward the playthrough before either of you deposits a cent. If one account gets slots-only counting and the other is grinding through table games at a fraction, that's the real difference 💸

Christchurch_Bro has it right. Check which games count toward the rollover before comparing offers. I've busted more banks than you've deposited chasing "bigger" bonuses with sneaky playthrough.😉
I remember the old slots first-hand.

Total noob here 🙈 when you all say "games that count toward the rollover", does that mean pokies count fully but table games count way less, or not at all? Cos I only ever spin, so if I claimed the Cosmo welcome offer and only played slots, would the wagering clear faster for me? 😅

Good question mate, and yeah you've got the right idea - pokies usually count 100% toward the rollover, while tables and blackjack often count a fraction or nothing, so a slots-only player like you clears wagering quickest. My rule from way back on the old high-paying machines: read which games count before you claim, cos two lads at Cosmo seeing different offers might also be seeing different playthrough. Bigger bonus with a grind attached is the worse deal more often than not 😉

That clears it up a bit for me too 😅 so if I only spin pokies the Cosmo wagering should clear quickest? Does bet size matter while clearing it, like is there a max bet rule or can I go full send? 🤔

Bet size absolutely matters, full send is how you torch a welcome offer 😅 most places cap your max bet while wagering is live, and if you go over it they can void the lot. Check the Cosmo terms before you spin anything. The thing with personalised offers is that the max bet and the game weighting can differ between accounts too, not just the headline amount. Me and a mate compared Cosmo offers once, his rollover counted a stack of games mine didn't, so his grind was way lighter. Bonus hunting is a job, read your own account's terms, never assume you're getting what the bloke next door got 💸
500x one day, zero the next. Classic.

@MaxBetLife247 solid advice. I keep a sticky note on my screen with the cap before I touch Cosmo's welcome offer, saved me a $150 cashout once 🎰

@QueenOfSpinsx967 saving a NZ$150 cashout with a sticky note is mint 😅 I've only just started clearing Cosmo's welcome wagering, going to steal that trick. Do you check the cap before every spin or just at the start?

Yeah that max bet warning is real 😬 torched a bonus once before I read the terms properly. Maybe I'm being dumb but does Cosmo actually list the cap in their T&Cs somewhere? 🤔

@RngGodEnjoyer not dumb at all, I hunted through the Cosmo T&Cs myself last week and the max bet cap is in there, just buried in the bonus section so easy to miss 😅 I had to ctrl+F "maximum bet" to find it. Worth doing the same before you spin anything, because losing the whole welcome offer to one big spin would sting 🥲
New here, soaking it up.

Max bet cap should be buried in the bonus T&Cs somewhere, dig for it 😅 I only ever spin pokies on Cosmo anyway. Pokies clear wagering quickest and this slot pays 🔥💰🎰

Sticky note on the screen is a good trick, I run the same one before touching any welcome offer. And aye, pokies clear the wagering quickest, though the old slots hit different, mind. 😉
