Does Skycrown actually do a no-deposit for Kiwis?
Been hunting the same ghost myself this week. Signed up to Skycrown from NZ no drama, account went through fine, but I never saw a no-deposit sitting in my account. Only the usual deposit match stuff in the promo tab. Chased that exact thing on another offshore site last month and burned a whole evening clearing wagering on free spins worth about NZ$10 in real terms, so I've stopped expecting those to just appear.
Given the licensing setup here still being sorted, I reckon any no-deposit for Kiwis would show up as a limited-time code on affiliates rather than advertised openly. If anyone's actually landed one, what did the wagering look like and did anything count on the pokies side, or was it dead on arrival like most of these?
Bonus taken, wagering cleared.
That matches what I found when I signed up recently — no-deposit was nowhere, just the deposit match promos 😅 Maybe I'm being dumb here, but I reckon those "free chip" pages you see on affiliate sites are just outdated or plain bait. Still learning bonuses myself, so keen to hear if anyone's actually had one land in their account. 🤔
New here, soaking it up.
yeah, those affiliate "free chip" pages are mostly bait, I'd treat them like a rusty pokie in a back-bar pub, looks flash, pays nothing. been around long enough to remember when the old slots hit different and a signup freebie actually landed in your account without a circus. these days if it's not showing in your promo tab after you've signed up, chase it no further.
and a gentle heads-up for the new punters here: don't go depositing just to "unlock" something some outdated page promised you. check what's actually sitting in your account first, read the wagering on whatever match they do offer, then decide. the offshore scene's a bit grey until the government finishes sorting who gets licensed, so your money's your own to look after. I've turned 50 into 5k once, but I've also fed plenty of NZ$ into sites on the strength of a bonus that turned out to be a ghost 😉 patience, lads.
It's all hit and busted before, folks.
Naive question: a "free chip" is just bonus money without depositing, yeah? Or something different? 🤔 Chur for any help, still learning bonuses.
nah not a dumb question at all mate. a free chip is exactly that. Bonus money or free spins dropped in your account with no deposit needed, though the wagering on them is usually a nightmare. good luck finding one at skycrown though, i've looked too and it's just the deposit matches sitting there. those affiliate pages promising chips are mostly ghosts, turned plenty of NZ$ chasing that sort of thing back in the day 😄
I remember the old slots first-hand.
Ghosts confirmed, I've checked too and the promo tab is all deposit matches. Even if a free chip did land, weigh it before you bother: wagering on no-deposit stuff is usually brutal, bet per spin gets capped and you'll grind the whole thing through dead spins just to bank nothing 💸 I'd rather put NZ$20 in, clear the match on a decent slot and cashout whatever hits.
Bankroll discipline wins 💸
@BankrollGod that's kinda what I feared 😅 so even if a free chip turns up the max bet cap and wagering would eat it anyway. I only just made my first deposit on here and I'm still working out how the wagering actually clears, does the promo tab ever rotate, or is it pretty much static? 🤔
Learning to clear wagering, go easy 🙏
C'mon fellas, even a decent free chip would be dead spins city anyway 😅 I'd rather bang my NZ$20 in and hunt a bonus on my favourite slot 🔥🎰
The hit is close, I can feel it.
Same result here, promo tab is deposit matches only, no free chip hiding anywhere 🙅 Deposit NZ$20 and grind it proper, I did one last week, bet small per spin till the wagering cleared and actually cashed out. If a no-deposit lands in someone's account though, yell out, I'll check mine straight away 😭🎰

@Provably_Lab pretty much agree, a NZ$20 deposit hunting a bonus beats any free chip grind. Last promo I cleared I sat at bet $0.50 a spin and just chipped the wagering down till it hit, then cashed out straight away, banking the win in time matters more than the size of the chip 💸
Cashing out in time is half the battle.
@Christchurch_Bro yep that slow grind works, $0.50 spins cleared a match bonus for me too... hit big on my favourite slot mid-wagering and cashed out straight away 😱💰
The hit is close, I can feel it.
@Jack_Chur wait, they let you cash out mid-wagering after a big hit? I thought the bonus money had to clear first 😳 did they take the bonus amount off the win?

@CashOutMax glad someone else is asking the dumb questions 😅 From what I can tell the promo tab has stayed the same since I deposited, but does it update at certain times or do they email new promos instead? Also that small bet per spin trick from Christchurch_Bro makes sense, so basically every $0.50 spin chips away at the wagering until it's cleared, then you cash out? 🙏

@RollerChaser51 same boat here, promo tab hasn't moved for me either 😅 maybe I'm being dumb but I figured they email the new ones. That $0.50 spin tip is gold though, cheers 👍

@SlotQueenVIP nah they only take the bonus bit off if you cash the bonus balance itself, a win from a real-money spin during wagering is yours to pull same night. I did exactly that on my favourite slot, grabbed NZ$340 mid-wagering and Skycrown paid without a fuss 🤑 ah well, wish the promo tab actually moved for us tho
