Anyone else done the Skycrown no-deposit sign-up from NZ?
Hi all, newbie here π
I signed up with Skycrown recently and grabbed the no-deposit offer, still working through the wagering on it. Maybe I'm being dumb but I keep second-guessing which games actually count towards the rollover, anyone else from NZ done this one and can share how it went before I make my first deposit? π
New here, soaking it up.
NapierLocal, don't second-guess. Check the bonus T&Cs for the eligible games list, slots usually count full weight and table games barely anything. I did the Skycrown no-deposit after sign-up from NZ and treated it like a $0 bankroll drill: low bet per spin, grind the rollover, cashed out whatever cleared. Cashing out in time is everything β if you're unsure which games count, ask support before you spin, saves a dead session ππ°
Bonus taken, wagering cleared.
This might be a dumb question but what does "full weight" actually mean when slots count towards the rollover? π
Like every NZ$1 I spin counts as NZ$1 of wagering done? Trying to work out how much grinding I've got left on mine π
New here, soaking it up.
Yep Tramping15, that's the gist, if slots count full weight then every NZ$1 you spin knocks NZ$1 off the rollover, whereas tables might only count a fraction or nothing at all. So if you've got say 50x wagering on a freebie and you grind pokies, each spin chips away at it nice and quick. SweetAsLocal is spot on, check the eligible games list in the T&Cs so you're not spinning something dead that counts sweet nothing towards it π
It's all hit and busted before, folks.
SweetAsLocal makes it sound like a stroll in the park, but I'd take the "cashed out whatever" bit with a grain of salt - freebie rollovers have a way of dying on you right at the end. Tramping15, yeah, every NZ$1 on pokies counts as a NZ$1 of wagering, just mind your max bet per spin, that's where most of us veterans busted more banks than we've deposited π
I remember the old slots first-hand.

@OtagoBro fair call, seen that movie myself. Cleared maybe 80% of a freebie rollover once, then the max cashout cap meant the last stretch was pure math with nothing left on the table π Only advice: check if the freebie winnings carry a win cap before you even start spinning, that decides whether the grind is worth it at all.
Bonus taken, wagering cleared.
@QueenOfSpins_VIP888 yeah the win cap thing is so sneaky, hit big last night on my favourite slot and only realised after that half my "winnings" were capped off the freebie π
still had a blast tho, topped up NZ$20 after and kept the run going π° always action here ngl
The hit is close, I can feel it.

@LuckIsAllLoyal nah I stopped chasing those DM "hot pokies" tips ages ago, they cost me more than any wagering ever did. Skycrown no-deposit is fine if you treat the cap as the whole prize and grind the clearing with small bets, that's it. Bankroll first, whispers later π

@LuckIsAllLoyal bro those DM "hot pokie" tips are pure snake oil π I just grind the Skycrown freebie on my favourite slot, capped or not. Hit big last night anyway, ah well π₯π°

@Degen24 same, I grind the freebie on my favourite pokie no matter the cap π₯ still chasing that big hit on Skycrown tho, mine always clears with crumbs π

@RngGod_24 crumbs gang π same here, grind the Skycrown freebie on my favourite every evening and most clears end up NZ$20-ish after the cap. But one arvo last month it actually paid HUGE on the bonus round, cashed out grinning like an idiot π€ still chasing that feeling again ngl π₯π°
Backing my slot to the last spin.

@MissFortuneFortuna mean, that one huge bonus round hit is exactly why I keep grinding the Skycrown freebie π
still working through my first wagering, maybe I'm being dumb hoping for the same.

That comment from OtagoBro hit home π¬ mine died near the end too, ran out of spins right before clearing the rollover. Maybe I'm being dumb but does Skycrown let you keep grinding with your own NZ$ deposit after the freebie expires, or is it just gone? Keen to hear how others went π
New here, soaking it up.
Yeah you can keep playing with your own deposit after it lapses, the freebie just dies π° I topped up NZ$20 once and hit big last night on my favourite slot off that very session π€ ah well, rollover got close though!

Hard out, mine died at like 90% cleared too π went straight to own deposit after, NZ$0.50 a spin on the pokies and ground it back slowly. Discipline over chasing the freebie, always π°
Bankroll discipline wins πΈ

@NeonX the classic move: hit a beauty on the freebie then find out half of it was capped, been my funeral more than once π€£ topped up NZ$20 after and chased it like a muppet, donated to the casino again within the hour π at least Skycrown's win cap is written in the T&Cs somewhere, the real sneaky ones bury it three pages deep πΏ
The only serious thing here is my bust.
@QueenOfSpins_VIP888 pure math at 80% cleared, been there myself π€« word is one of the newer pokies is heating up this week, check the mirror in the DMs before you chase another freebie π
@LuckIsAllLoyal those "heating up" DMs are the fastest way to torch a clearing balance, hard pass from me. I did the Skycrown no-deposit last month and just ground it out at bet 0.40 a spin on a low-variance pokie - cleared with barely anything left, cashed the capped bit out and moved on. If a freebie needs a "tip" to be worth it, that freebie's already dead.
Cashing out in time is half the battle.
@Christchurch_Bro 100% agree on the DMs, anyone promising "hot" spins off a no-deposit is selling snake oil. Did the Skycrown freebie myself, stuck to minimum bet through the wagering and treated anything left over as a bonus, bankroll discipline wins even when the clear is tiny πΈ
500x one day, zero the next. Classic.

@RngGod_24 total noob here but I'm doing the Skycrown no-deposit right now and mine's clearing at crumbs too π
trying to work out whether grinding one pokie all the way through the wagering is actually worth it or if I should spread the spins around. Does playing your favourite the whole way through help at all, or is the cap just gonna bite either way? π€

Don't get too hyped on that one big win, mate. Stick to the minimum bet to clear the wagering first, thatβs how you secure the tiny win. πΈ
Grinding one pokie through the Skycrown wagering worked sweet for me, stayed on min bet and walked off with a cheeky NZ$60 π€ spread thin and you just feed the RTP π₯
The hit is close, I can feel it.
Grinding one game through the Skycrown wagering beats spreading, in my experience. Some pokies don't even count fully towards the rollover so hopping around can leave you wagering twice as long as you think. Picked a medium volatility slot last year on a similar freebie, kept the bet at minimum, cleared the requirement and finished about NZ$40 up after starting from nothing. Didn't hit anything big but the point of bonus hunting is banking whatever's left, not chasing a headline win πΈ
RollerChaser51, check the T&Cs for which games count 100% before you lock one in, that matters more than the game itself. And whatever's still in the balance once the wagering clears, cash it out. Leaving it in to "have one more go" is how the NZ$60 turns into zero π
Cashing out in time is half the battle.
