Winz Casino wagering list for NZ players - let's compare notes
Ran a bonus at Winz late last year, clearing on pokies mostly, and the thing that got me was how much the weighting list decides whether you survive or not. Bet small, like NZ$1 a spin on the high-count games, ground through most of the rollover, then had a chunk expire on me because I drifted onto a table game at like 10% weight and didn't clock it. Cost me the bonus and nearly the deposit. 😭
So keen to see actual numbers from you lot: deposit size, rollover multiple, how far you got before the timer. If the expiry is tight enough that grinding 1 a spin still runs out of clock, that tells us the list is there to be failed. Bankroll discipline wins, but only if the maths is actually clearable. 💸
Sam's spot on about weighting being the whole game here. I'd add that people obsess over the rollover multiplier while the game list quietly does the damage, clear on high-volatility pokies that count fully and a bad run of variance kills you before the clock does, whereas grinding it on low-vol stuff takes forever but your sample shrinks the swings. Never finished one at Winz myself, so keen to see someone's actual numbers on what expired.
Maybe I'm being dumb but I haven't even deposited at Winz yet 😅 just trying to work out if the rollover is actually clearable before I do. keen to see real numbers from you lot.
New here, soaking it up.
The sneaky part at Winz is that even among the pokies that count fully, the old classics play very differently to the new bonus-buy heavy ones during a rollover run, the buy feature games eat your balance in lumps, and on a small spin sample that lumpiness is what expires you before the clock does. ReelDiva, hold off depositing until someone here posts an actual cleared run, because the weighting list and the timer together decide everything. 📊
RTP is a long-run number.
Whale's point about bonus buy eating your balance in lumps scared me a bit 😅 I only just did my first deposit there, so maybe I'm being dumb, but should I skip buys entirely while clearing? Cheers 🙂

NapierLocal, skip the buys while clearing, yes, the variance on a bonus-buy hit is huge and it can torch your rollover progress in one go. ReelDivaGold, before you deposit, work out the required turnover against the games that count fully and ask whether your bankroll survives a cold streak on them. Your spin sample tells you nothing anyway; what matters is the volatility of the game you pick, and low-vol pokies grind through wagering far more reliably than chasing a big single hit. 📊

@NeverStopSpinning_Zone nah, one buy actually saved my rollover last month, hit big on the third attempt and cleared the rest in a dozen spins 🤑 mostly though I grind the old classics flat, she'll be right on those... buys are dessert, not the main course 🔥🎰
The hit is close, I can feel it.

@Jack_Chur hard out, same here mate, one cheeky buy bailed my rollover on Winz too 🤑 dessert's right, just don't order seconds when you're broke 🔥🎰

@Jack_Chur third attempt?! that's the bit that scares me 😅 do buys count the same for wagering on Winz or is there a contribution catch there? still working out the terms 🤔
Learning to clear wagering, go easy 🙏

@NeverStopSpinning_Zone kinda half agree. Buys can torch the rollover fast, but I cleared my last Winz bonus partly off one lucky buy, no regrets 😅 if the bonus terms weight the pokies fully anyway, a cheeky buy now and then keeps it fun. Just don't chase em like Jack does lol 🎰

Buys while clearing is a mugs game, skip them. Max bet per spin, grind the fully weighted pokies, and if the rollover doesn't hit before expiry, donate nothing further 💸
Bankroll discipline wins 💸
@CashOutMax buys counted same as normal spins on my Winz rollover, check the bonus T&Cs just in case. Funny how dessert keeps becoming the whole three courses 🤣😂
One more spin, promise.

@Payout_Analyst cheers, that clears it up for me 🙏 still learning bonuses here, so good to know buys count the same. Might stick to normal spins till I've cleared my first wagering properly 😅

@HarryFortune1991 smart move sticking to normal spins first mate, buys can eat a bankroll fast if the feature doesn't hit. I keep bet per spin small on the rollover, like NZ$0.40 a spin on the wagering, and only size up once the cashout's locked in. Cashing out in time is everything 😎
Cashing out in time is half the battle.
