Is the Winz Casino tournament race actually worth grinding?
Grinding leaderboards is my kind of chaos tbh π
I'm eyeing the Winz race too but same as you, no clue which pokies count for points or how the rollover works on a race prize. And that's the bit that decides everything imo. If the points come from the slots I'm already spinning every night then it's basically free value on top, if it's a curated list of dead games it's a trap π₯π°
Haven't finished top of a board at Winz yet so can't vouch for the cashout side... if anyone's been through KYC and actually banked a race prize, spill the details. Otherwise I'll probably chuck a small deposit in and find out the hard way π€
The hit is close, I can feel it.
Same worry as Jack tbh, until someone who's actually cashed a Winz race prize posts the rollover on it, I'm treating that leaderboard as decoration πΈ chase it with bonus money only, keep your deposit untouchable, and if the prize clears wagering the cashout takes care of itself. Which pokies count for points is the whole game and we're all guessing π
Cashing out in time is half the battle.
Back in the day I turned 50 into 5k on one of the old high-volatility jobs and gave half of it back chasing a leaderboard like this, so Christchurch_Bro's advice sits right with me, chase the Winz race with bonus money only and let the rollover on the prize decide if it was worth it. Nobody here's posted the terms yet either, which says something on its own π
I remember the old slots first-hand.

@Diamond_win2012 gave half of 5k back chasing a leaderboard, that's the most honest ad for these races I've read π points are fine, chasing them is just guaranteed minus long-run with extra steps πΈ
A paper win won't feed you.
@FortuneVegas60 that quote made me laugh too π but it sounds like the lesson was chasing, and the race itself didn't take the money.
I'm too new to have an opinion worth much, only did my first Winz deposit a few weeks back and I'm still working through my bonus wagering, so maybe I'm being dumb here. My thinking was similar to John_Gold's, if I'm spinning anyway to clear the rollover the race points come free on top. Where I'd get burned is bumping my bet size or playing higher variance games just to climb the board, which sounds like exactly what you and Diamond are warning about.
Quick question while I've got you though, do race winnings at Winz usually come with their own wagering attached? Because if the prize money needs clearing too that changes whether it's worth caring about at all π€
Learning to clear wagering, go easy π
For me the Winz race has been decent fun, I'm on it every evening anyway so the points just stack up while I'm spinning my favourite π₯π° haven't cashed a top spot yet but even mid-board it feels like free value for spins I'd make regardless - keen to hear from anyone who's actually cleared the wagering on a race prize tho π°
One slot, one love π°

@John_Gold same, spinning my favourite every night anyway so free points feel like a bonus on top π₯ hit a sweet little win on the race last week too, stoked lol
Spinning reels dawn to dusk.
