Tried a no-deposit at Pacho a while back on a mates tip, and the bonus terms were where it got murky, couldn't tell which pokies counted full weight before the rollover clock ran out. Anyone here actually cleared one and cashed out, or did the fine print kill it? Keen to know before I burn another session on it 💸
Bonus taken, wagering cleared.

Total noob here but I had a similar worry before my first deposit 😅 I've only done deposit bonuses so far, no-deposit still feels like it might have hidden catches. The thing that got me once was expiry hitting mid-rollover. Nearly lost a cleared bonus to that 🥲 How long was the clock on yours?
New here, soaking it up.

nah, that clock dying mid-rollover is the classic killer, happened to me more times than I care to admit. turned a free spin haul into nothing once because I assumed I had days and it was hours. now I read the expiry line first and the rollover second, before I even look at how many free spins they're dangling 😄 thing with these no-deposit offers is the fine print does the heavy lifting, as SweetAsLocal said. game contribution is where they get you. Old pokies used to count full weight and the old slots hit different because of it. these days you spin on something and find out it's chipping in a fraction towards the wagering. my advice to you newbies: treat a no-deposit as a free look around the site, not a payday. if you clear it, lovely. if you don't, you've lost nothing but an evening. never let it talk you into a deposit you weren't planning on.
It's all hit and busted before, folks.

This might be a dumb question but what does "full weight" mean with pokies counting toward rollover? 😅 Like some games only count half or nothing while you're clearing it? That'd explain why my bonus felt stuck last time, maybe I was playing the wrong ones 🙈
Learning to clear wagering, go easy 🙏

Not a dumb question at all, MissFortune. Full weight just means the game counts 100% of every spin toward your rollover. So if you're clearing a no-deposit bonus and the pokie you're on only counts half (or nothing at all), your wagering barely moves no matter how much you spin. That's why a bonus can feel stuck: you've played plenty, cleared nothing. Read the contribution list in the terms first, always. The old slots hit different, but they still count the same 😄

I remember the old slots first-hand.

Learned this the hard way: now I screenshot the terms before I spin a cent 💸 if expiry or game weight is vague, I skip and hunt elsewhere. Free roll only worth it if the fine print's clean.

@QueenOfSpins_VIP888 mean, screenshotting the terms is smart but honestly Pacho treated me sweet last time, cleared a free roll on my fave pokie one night and the withdrawal actually landed 💰 took a few days but no funny business. If the fine print's vague yeah skip, but don't write the whole place off, some of us got lucky 😎🎰

Screenshot the terms all you like QueenOfSpins, Pacho's fine print can change mid-rollover anyway 😏 free roll where the house always wins? keen, sure, post the screenshot when it pays 🤡💸
A paper win won't feed you.

@FortuneVegas60 house always wins on free rolls? mine paid out, spun my favourite pokie all evening and cashed 😎 sure the rollover's brutal but it cost me nothing, keen as ah well 🔥🎰

Ran a no-deposit there as a NZ player a while back, cleared wagering on full-weight pokies at bet 20c a spin and actually got paid, small cashout but it hit. FortuneVegas, if terms change mid-rollover that's a dodgy sign though, hence why I check game contribution BEFORE starting now. Free shot if the fine print reads clean, skip if the expiry's vague 🎰

Depends on the volatility of the pokie you clear it on, honestly. SamRotorua's 20c spins on full-weight games is exactly the right shape: low variance per spin, maximum sample size before you hit the rollover. If he'd run the same wagering at NZ$2 a pop on a high-vol title, the cashout odds swing wildly, a tiny free-roll balance doesn't survive variance at those bet sizes. FortuneVegas, mid-rollover term changes would bother me too, but one data point each way tells us nothing. My usual read on these: a no-deposit is a free option with strictly positive EV at zero cost, so "worth chasing" is nearly always yes unless the expiry window is tight enough that your spin sample is tiny by design. John_Gold's few days for withdrawal is a mild positive signal, slow but paid beats fast and stonewalled. I'd say take it, screenshot everything anyway like QueenOfSpins does, and treat anything that clears as house money. 📊

@NeverStopSpinning_Zone spot on, and I'd add the hit-rate angle: a pokie that pays small wins often keeps your balance alive through the rollover, whereas a high-volatility one can zero you out before you're even a quarter through the wagering. There's a variance nuance here too. Same RTP, wildly different survival odds. My sheet approach: check hit frequency before game contribution, then start.

@MissFortuneFortuna nah you're spot on, a free roll that cashes is a free roll end of story 😎 Pacho's the one I'm on every evening anyway, their bonus spins actually counted full on my favourite pokie last time and the withdrawal came through no dramas 🔰💰 so yeah, keen as, chase it... rollover's a grind but you're risking zero 🤑

MissFortuneFortuna's got the right of it for once, a free roll that cashes is a win, whatever the rollover looked like. But the part most punters skip is checking what actually counts toward the wagering before you start. I pulled Pacho's terms apart last time around: a lot of their table games and some pokies weigh at 10% or nothing, so your "100%" spins turn into ten times the sample you thought you were buying. Gary's favourite game counting full is the exception, not the rule. My method is boring but it works: stick to the full-weight, low-volatility titles, small spins, and just grind the rollover. On a small spin sample the variance will chew you up otherwise. One cold streak on a high-volatility pokie and the "free" NZ$ balance is gone before you're a third through. Hit rate matters more than RTP for clearing these. Check the max cashout cap too, because nothing stings like a withdrawal trimmed to a fraction.
RTP is a long-run number.

@WhaleGG yep, checked the terms myself, my favourite pokie counted 100% toward the rollover and it still cashed for me 😎 costs nothing to chase it, keen as 🔥

@OtagoNZ same here mate, my go-to pokie counted 100% on the rollover and it flew through, cashed out like NZ$180 off the free roll 🔥🤑 anyone still on the fence, it costs ya nothing to chase so nah, don't skip it

@RideTheVarianceHQ NZ$180 off a free roll is mint 🔥 same deal here, my favourite pokie counted 100% on the rollover and the winnings had their own wagering on top but it still cleared. Anyone skipping this is munted, nothing to lose 🤑🎰

@Danny_RTP nice, that's encouraging 🙏 maybe I'm being dumb but did the winnings from the no-deposit have their own wagering before cashout, or was it straight through?
