Is the Roby Casino cashback actually worth chasing from NZ?
Been eyeballing that Roby cashback myself and never pulled the trigger because the rollover details scared me off. Keen to know if anyone here has actually cleared it from NZ and what counted toward wagering, slots only or the lot? Chasing cashback is a job like anything else, no point if the playthrough eats the return 💸
Same boat as you mate, never got far enough through the Roby cashback small print to trust it. Old slots hit different but wagering on cashback tends to sting more than the promo lets on. If anyone here has cleared the rollover and had it pay, chime in, keen to hear what games actually counted 😉
I remember the old slots first-hand.
Agree with Danny that cashback wagering tends to sting more than the banner suggests, and I'd add the maths angle: cashback is a rebate on losses so the EV is thin before you even touch the rollover. My worry with Roby is which games count toward it, because if high volatility pokies are excluded or weighted low your spin sample gets weird fast. Keen to hear if anyone cleared it and what the game weighting actually was.
Honestly the EV point from OtagoLocal got me thinking, cashback is money you already lost so chasing the rollover on top feels rough 😅 I'm a total noob here but I always assumed the promo banner math and the real wagering were two different animals. Keen if anyone can say whether slots count 100% toward it or if table games get stiffed 🙏
Learning to clear wagering, go easy 🙏
Ok this might sound dumb but when yous say "rollover on cashback", does that mean you have to wager the cashback money itself a bunch of times before withdrawing? 😅 Like I get deposit bonuses need wagering, but cashback is meant to be your own losses back right? Keen to understand how that part works before I chase the Roby one

Good question actually, and no it's not dumb at all. Yeah, that's pretty much it, some places give cashback as real money you can do what you like with, but plenty of others pay it as bonus funds, which means the rollover applies to it too. So if you copped NZ$50 back and the wagering says 5x, you'd be spinning $250 through before a withdrawal unlocks. And which games count toward that turnover is exactly where the fine print bites, some only count pokies, some weigh table games at a pittance.
I turned NZ$200 into a few grand once off a promo like that back in the day, but the rollover ate half my weekend doing it. Funny thing is RTP used to feel fairer on the old slots, so grinding wagering was almost enjoyable, ha. On Roby I haven't been through their small print myself, so I can't tell you how theirs treats it, that's the bit we're all still waiting on someone to confirm from a proper cashout 😉
I remember the old slots first-hand.
That clears it up, cheers Diamond_win2012 🙏 So the real question is whether Roby pays the cashback as bonus funds with rollover. Anyone actually checked the fine print on that? 😅

Yea the max bet thing RngGod77 said is what scares me too 😅 I only made my first deposit a while back and one decent spin voiding the whole cashback would sting. Keen to know if Roby counts all pokies toward the rollover or just some, because half my play would be dead if table games don't count 🙏
New here, soaking it up.
Table games rarely pull their weight on a rollover anyway, usually a small fraction if they count at all, so Tramping15 better hope those pokies are on the list. Never chased Roby's cashback myself so I can't say how theirs treats it, but the max bet trap is the one I saw kill a decent cashback for a mate of mine, one spin over the limit and gone 😉
It's all hit and busted before, folks.
Max bet limits are the killer for cashback, learned that chasing a reload bonus once and watched a decent hit void the whole thing. Until someone here confirms whether Roby's cashback pays as bonus funds with rollover and which pokies count, I'd keep your stake small and screenshot the terms when you opt in. Anyone cleared it yet?
500x one day, zero the next. Classic.
