Is the cashback at Boo Casino actually worth chasing for NZ players?

chasing cashback is usually a slow grind for a small return, been through this cycle before with a few offshore sites. boo keeps popping up for us nz punters though, so someone here must have worked the wagering on it properly. keen to hear if the cashback actually added up for anyone or if its just another "looks nice on paper" deal 😄

Cashback maths only works if you'd be playing the volume anyway, that's my starting point. Chasing a rebate on spins you wouldn't have made just adds expected loss, because every NZ$ of turnover carries house edge against you and the cashback only returns a slice of it. Same trap as wagering a bonus on high volatility pokies hoping variance bails you out. Where it gets interesting is the volatility side. If the rebate is paid on net losses and you grind low volatility games with a high hit rate, your losing sessions stay shallow and the cashback barely triggers. Run hot streaks on swingy slots instead and the rebate captures more of the downswings. There's a variance nuance there most punters miss. So my honest answer to LuckyStreakBonus: worth it as a rebate on play you already do, dead as a reason to deposit. I keep a sheet per slot for exactly this and Boo's terms are the bit I'd want to see spelled out before calling it good.

Total noob here 😅 when you say turnover, does that just mean the total amount I spin through on pokies? Thanks OtagoLocal for the breakdown btw 🙏

aye good question. turnover just means the total you spin through, win or lose. so if ya deposit NZ$50 and bet NZ$1 a spin for 200 spins, that's NZ$200 turnover even if you ended up down. otago's point is the casino counts every one of those spins when working cashback, and the house edge eats into each one, so chasing rebate on spins you wouldn't normally do just costs you more 😄

OtagoLocal pretty much summed it up, but I'll add my two bob from years of this. Chasing cashback with money you wouldn't have spun anyway is just feeding the house a bit slower. If you're playing your usual volume at Boo regardless, the rebate is a nice little cushion, nothing more. Turned 50 into 5k once off a run like that and the cashback barely covered the coffee on the way down the next week 😄
