i've run cashback deals off and on for years, and my take is simple: it's only worth chasing if the wagering on it is light and the games that count are ones you'd spin anyway. the shiny headline number means nothing if you have to grind it through three times on dead pokies. so before anyone deposits at Impressario, check what turns over and on which games, then tell us the actual terms here, keen to compare notes 😄

Agree with the core point, though I'd flip the priority: on a small spin sample, the cashback's hit rate matters more than its headline size. I'd want to know which pokies count toward the wagering on Impressario's cashback and how many times you have to roll it before a single NZ$ of it is real money. If the qualifying games are ones I'd spin anyway, even modest cashback adds EV, but grinding it through dead games eats the value faster than most punters realise.
RTP is a long-run number.

Sorry if this is a dumb question 😅 but when you say wagering on cashback, do you mean you have to spin the cashback money through before withdrawing it? Total noob here 🙈

Good question love, not dumb at all. Yeah exactly that. Cashback is money the casino hands back to you on your losses, but most places won't let you lift it straight away. You have to spin it through the required number of times first, that's the wagering. Old-timers like me have busted more banks than you've deposited chasing these things, and the number of times you have to roll it through makes all the difference. Quick example so it clicks. Say they give you NZ$20 back. If the terms say one time through, you spin that $20 over and once it's done the lot sits there as real cash. If it says five times through, you're putting NZ$100 worth of spins through before you canWithdraw it, and if dead pokies are the only ones that count, the maths quietly eats you alive. That's what the boys above mean. Nobody here knows Impressario's exact playthrough yet, so I'd be asking around for anyone who's actually run their cashback before you drop a deposit on the promise. 😄

fair question from slotqueen and diamond covered it well. my two cents, i've always rated cashback over the flashy deposit bonuses, mainly because you've usually already lost the money before you get it, so there's no temptation to chase a bonus balance you can't touch. i turned 50 into 5k once off a similar deal years back, but that was the old slots that hit different, not the cashback doing the work 😉 the catch with impressario, same as whale says, is nobody's confirmed which pokies count toward the wagering on it yet. if it's only the dead ones nobody spins, that's the shiny decoy right there. i'd want to see the terms in black and white before i change where my next NZ$ goes. greed's a funny teacher, she always bills you after the lesson 😄

OtagoBro summed it up nicely, and I'll only add this: with Impressario, before anyone deposits, get the exact wagering on that cashback in writing, which pokies count and how many times through. I've busted more banks than you've deposited chasing "free money" that turned out to be locked tighter than a Treasury vault 😉 if the fine print reads fair, it's a decent little cushion for us Kiwis; if not, walk past it.
