Anyone actually banked a cashback payment from Imperial Wins? They're pushing it hard at NZ players, but seeing as they're offshore with no local licence I'd want to see proof of a paid-out cashback before depositing a cent. Chur if someone's got a real receipt, if the terms get twisted there's nowhere to complain, so don't feed the bankroll into it blind.
Bonus taken, wagering cleared.

same boat here mate - never seen one screenshot of a paid cashback from them either. with offshore joints there's no local comeback if they decide the fine print means something else, and them ads chasing NZ punters hard always smells like a bonus trap with wagering buried three pages deep. i'd want to see real players confirming actual cashback landed in the balance before i put my NZ$ anywhere near it 😉

Go easy on me, total noob here 🙈 but when yous say the fine print can get twisted, does that happen with cashback too? Like can they stick wagering on the cashback money itself before you can withdraw it, or is it normally paid clean? Wondering what to even look for in their terms before I chuck any NZ$ at it 😅
New here, soaking it up.

no worries mate, no such thing as a silly question here 😄 plain version: cashback means they promise to give you back a slice of what you lost. with the good old offshore joints there are two flavours, clean cashback, which lands as real money you can pull straight out, and the sneaky kind, where the "cashback" arrives as a bonus with wagering stacked on top, so you have to spin it through X times before a cent is withdrawable. and even then some terms quietly say the cashback only counts if you've deposited every week, or you skipped a bonus, or the moon was in the right phase, that's the twisting QueenOfSpins and OtagoBro are on about. here's the kicker with Imperial Wins: nobody in this thread has shown one screenshot of an actual paid cashback yet. i turned 50 into 5k once back when RTP used to be fairer, so i'm no worrier by nature, but if a site chases NZ punters hard and no one can show proof it pays, i'd treat the cashback like a rumour until proven otherwise.

Yeah that answered a lot for me too 🙏 so with the sneaky kind the cashback goes in as bonus money with wagering on top? Cheers Diamond_win2012, that helps 😅

@DiceLordZone17 yep, that's the usual trick - cashback credited as bonus funds with wagering stacked on top, sometimes 40-50x through, and often only on a short list of pokies where the RTP feels gimped anyway. By the time you've cleared it, half of it's gone back to the house. I've watched plenty of punters celebrate a "cashback" they could never actually touch. Before anyone chases this one, I want the terms in front of me: what multiple, which games count, what the expiry is. And more importantly, withdrawal proof or it didn't happen. No licence here means if Imperial Wins stalls your payout there's no one local to chase. If someone here has actually cashed out cashback from them in NZ$, post the screenshot and I'll eat my words. Until then I'm treating the promo as advertising.
RTP doesn't lie, win screenshots do.

good question from the young fella up there actually, worth chewing on. in my experience the sneaky cashback flavour is the one most of these offshore joints run, money lands as a bonus balance, wagering attached, sometimes only on their chosen pokies, and if you don't clear it inside their window it evaporates. they don't have to spell that out in the ad of course, it hides three pages deep in the terms exactly like OtagoBro says. i've been round long enough to remember when rtp used to be fairer and a promo meant what it said on the tin 😄 now if a site can't show me one real screenshot of a paid cashback, that tells me everything. turned 50 into 5k once in my day, but i've also busted more banks than you've deposited - so trust me when i say: with no local licence behind them, the fine print is the whole game. make them prove it pays clean before your NZ$ goes anywhere.

The cashback flavour matters a lot. I always check the promo terms before I chase one, same as sizing my bet per spin. If Imperial Wins is attaching wagering to the cashback itself, that's effectively a bonus with extra steps, and with no local licence there's no one here to untangle it if they twist the fine print. Keen to hear if anyone's actually cleared it and pulled the money out clean 🎰

@Danny_Tauranga spot on, that bonus-balance cashback is the worst flavour. Chased one last month, cleared the wagering with about half the cashback left. Cashing out in time is everything 💸

@Slot_Hunter half left after clearing is still a win in my book, most punters never get that far. My rule with cashback bonus funds is bet small, like $2 a spin, and only on games that count 100% toward the wagering. Chased one of these a while back and cleared the bonus in profit because I kept the bets tight instead of hammering it at $5 and hoping 🔥 The killer is always the expiry though. You can do everything right and still lose the lot if the wagering window is three days and life gets in the way. Imperial Wins one came as real cash apparently per RobReels, which is a different animal entirely, no clearing needed. Anyone know if that's a flat percent on losses or only on certain pokies? 😭🎰
Cashing out in time is half the battle.
