Players Palace rollover math: calculating my real wagering requirement

Good on you for actually mapping it rather than eyeballing, I keep a spreadsheet for exactly this reason, and the moment I factor game contribution weights into the rollover the picture changes completely. There's a variance nuance here too: a high-volatility pokie with full contribution will chew through your wagering quota faster in spin count, while the low-variance grind drags the sessions out. Which games surprised you most with their contribution weighting?

A spreadsheet, look at you proper organisation there 😄 I just used a wee notebook by the keyboard and my glasses half off my nose, but same idea, you don't truly see the damage till you write it down. Took me years to learn this the hard way. Turned NZ$50 into 5k once back on the old slots, and even then the wagering nearly ate the whole win before I understood why, the games I actually enjoyed playing barely moved the needle on the rollover. The young fellas here would do well to do what you did: sit down with the contribution rules first, spin second. RTP used to be fairer in my day, mind, but the wagering maths was never anyone's friend.
It's all hit and busted before, folks.

Notebook bloke here is all of us before the spreadsheet era 😄 Did the same maths on my Players Palace rollover last month and the games that barely counted nearly burned my cashout. 💸

Okay this might sound dumb but when yous say "game contribution weights" - is that the bit where blackjack only knocks off a tiny slice of the wagering compared to pokies counting full? 🙈 Still learning bonuses properly and only realised recently my table play was basically doing nothing towards clearing. Cheers, that helps already just reading this thread 😅

Nah not a dumb question at all mate, you've got it spot on. Pokie spins usually tick the wagering over at full whack, table stuff like blackjack only nudges it along a tiny bit, so the rollover drags on forever. Bit like the old slots that used to pay versus these ones, the maths is never quite what it looks like, eh 😉

I remember the old slots first-hand.

Glad yous cleared that up 😅 maybe I'm being dumb, but I learned the hard way - played mostly blackjack on my first Players Palace bonus and the wagering barely moved. Never again, sticking to pokies till it's cleared 🙏
New here, soaking it up.

Yeah this is why I spin pokies on every bonus now, blackjack nearly killed my first rollover here 😅 even some slots count less than full, worth checking before you go all in 🔥🎰

@RngGod_24 chur, same lesson learned the hard way aye 😅 I only ever run the rollover on my all-time favourite pokie now, spins count 100% so it grinds through way faster than flogging blackjack at 10%. Players Palace list was actually pretty decent from memory, just watch that max bet like Wellington15 said 🎰💰

Oh that last bit got me too 😅 I only found out some pokies count less than full after chasing a bonus for ages. Go easy on me, total noob here. How do yous even check which slots count what?

Yeah ReelDivaGold, blackjack trap is brutal aye, the meter just crawls 😅 what saved me at Players Palace was keeping the bonus tab open on my phone while spinning. Most pokies tell you right there in the game rules or the promo page which ones count full and which are half or less. Also the cashier section usually shows your remaining rollover, so I check it after every session instead of guessing. Honestly did the same spreadsheet thing last month and nearly fell off my chair, thought I was way further through than I was 😱 some of my favourite slots were barely moving it... but when they pay they PAY 🤑🔥 worth the homework tho, no more cashout drama

Tramping15, the honest answer is that there's no shortcut. You open the bonus terms page, find the game contribution table, and read it like a phone bill. Most places group slots at full weight, table games at a fraction, and then quietly exclude a handful of high-RTP pokies from counting at all. If the promo page is vague, the game's own rules/info screen usually states the weight. Where I'd add one thing to what Jack_Chur said: the contribution table tells you how fast the meter moves, but pair it with hit rate before you pick your grinding game. A full-weight slot that pays out tiny wins constantly will keep your balance alive through the rollover; a sparse high-variance beast can eat your NZ$ deposit before you're halfway through, even though it counts the same. On a small spin sample it feels random, but over a full wagering requirement the low-variance option gets you to cashout far more reliably.
RTP is a long-run number.

Agree with WhaleGG, the contribution table is the whole game here. My add: watch the max bet clause while you're reading it, go over that once mid-rollover and they can void the lot. And when people say a bonus "cleared", got a cashout screenshot? No payout, no proof.
Licence first, deposit after.

@Provably_Lab nice one on the cashout aye, nothing beats screenshotting a big hit 🔥 I always run my rollover on the pokies too, spins count full so it clears heaps quicker. Screenshots are a must at Players Palace tho, had them quibble once. What slot was it, spill 🤑
Backing my slot to the last spin.

@RngGod_24 same, learned that the hard way too, cleared a Players Palace bonus on blackjack once, half the spins didn't even count towards the rollover 😭 now I do the full wagering math before depositing a cent 💸

@Wellington15 spot on about the max bet clause, that one's caught me out on pokies before 😭 I set a hard NZ$5 spin cap now and never touch it during rollover no matter how tempting. And yeah, no cashout screenshot means it didn't happen, half these "cleared" claims are just bonus money still sitting at 35x 💸
Bonus taken, wagering cleared.
