National Casino bonus maths
Been burnt enough times by rollover maths to keep a spreadsheet now, so keen to see what people actually logged from National Casino - how many times through the wagering went, which slots counted properly and which got weighted down, and how many bonuses expired before the finish. Chur if you can post the raw numbers rather than just vibes, because the EV on these offers usually only shows up once you track it spin by spin.
Volatility > vibes.
good on ya for keeping a spreadsheet, mate, most of us just learn the hard way 😄 i've busted more banks than you've deposited chasing rollovers that quietly chewed the clock while i played the wrong pokies. these days i read the game weighting before i deposit anywhere, and at an offshore spot like National there's no local licence to fall back on either way, so if the terms are murky i just leave the bonus money where it belongs: in their till. greedy players make the easiest punts, as the old saying goes 😉
I remember the old slots first-hand.
OtagoBro nailed it, half my rollovers died on game weighting without me clocking it 😭 I stopped chasing bonus maths on offshore sites altogether since the terms are just between me and them if things go sideways. Now I do the spin count on the calculator before depositing, and if the game list feels dodgy I'd rather play my own NZ$ on pokies and skip the "bonus" entirely 🎰

This might be a dumb question 😅 but what's game weighting exactly? Like some pokies only count part of each spin towards the rollover?
Learning to clear wagering, go easy 🙏
No dumb question at all, mate. Took me years to work it out myself. Game weighting means some games count less towards the rollover: your $1 spin might only count 50c or even nothing, so the wagering crawls while you think you're smashing through it. Old-school pokies usually counted in full; these days the higher-RTP stuff gets weighed down, and live dealer tables often count barely at all. Always check the weighting table before you deposit, or the bonus dies on you while you wonder what happened 😄
It's all hit and busted before, folks.
Oh that explains heaps 😅 I'd been spinning table games thinking they'd clear my bonus faster, turns out maybe they barely counted at all. Cheers Tauranga_Loyal, that helps!

Glad I read this before my next deposit 😅 Total noob here, still learning bonuses, does National list the weighting per game somewhere, or do you have to ask support? 🤔🙏
New here, soaking it up.
Yeah and always check the weighting before you spin, cos I blew a bonus once hammering my favourite slot only to realise later it was weighted down and the rollover barely moved 😅 keeping the spreadsheet is smart, wish I'd done that ages ago 🎰🔥
The hit is close, I can feel it.

@OtagoNZ ouch that weighting gut-punch, been there 😅 learned my lesson the hard way too. Now I always check the weighting table in the T&Cs before I spin, takes two mins and saves the drama. Last night's hit was on pokies at full weighting so the rollover flew through, felt so good ngl 🔥
The hit is close, I can feel it.
Chris, the T&Cs usually have a weighting table buried near the bonus section, read it before you deposit, or ask support and screenshot it. On a small spin sample the rollover can look closer to done than it is. 📊
RTP is a long-run number.
@WhaleGG spot on, screenshotting support chat saved me once at National - cleared a NZ$100 bonus spinning pokies at full weighting and the rollover moved like it should, took the cashout no dramas 💸 Table games barely counted for me too, learned that lesson the slow way 🎰
500x one day, zero the next. Classic.
my spreadsheet is just a note saying "donated to the casino again" 🤣 half my rollovers die on weighted pokies, might actually copy you blokes and screenshot the table lol
The only serious thing here is my bust.

@GaryWins mate this is exactly why National is my go-to, pokies at full weighting makes the rollover a breeze 🔥 cleared one spinning my favourite last week and cashed out sweet as. This slot pays, no spreadsheets needed 😂🤑

Nice, one cashout and suddenly National's a charity 😂 "no spreadsheets needed" is exactly what the bonus terms want you to think, mate. That rollover only felt like a breeze cos the pokies weighting did the heavy lifting, variance did the rest. Post the screenshot of the withdrawal and I'll believe the sweet as part, until then it's just vibes 🤡
Give it three months of clearing every bonus that lands in your inbox on that same "favourite" slot and tell me where the profit's at. Long run you're up the creek, every time 💸😏
A paper win won't feed you.
Wait, so table games count way less towards the rollover? Maybe I'm being dumb but I put half my bonus on blackjack 😅 did I just tank my own wagering?
New here, soaking it up.
Yeah blackjack on a bonus is rough mate, most places count like 10% or nothing so that wagering barely moved 😅 Mike's onto it tho, cleared my last National rollover purely on pokies at full weighting, sweatiest fun I've had on a bonus 🔰💰 spin your favourite instead next time, way better vibes
One slot, one love 🎰
NapierLocal don't stress it too much, half on blackjack just means that half crawls. I've done worse, dropped a whole reload bonus on roulette once and the wagering barely twitched 😭
My rule now is simple: bonus hunting is a job, so I check the weighting table before I spin a cent. Pokies at 100% on National, work out your bet per spin so the rollover fits your bankroll, and don't chase a table fix mid-wager. Last clear I got I kept bets small, hit a decent line on a feature and banked it straight to cashout 💸 Variance does swing it though, FortuneVegas has a point, one breeze-looking clear doesn't mean every rollover will feel like that 🔥
