Is the Dragonia Casino tournament actually worth grinding for NZ
Anyone actually grinding the Dragonia tournament yet?? I saw it pop up and my finger twitched ngl π
I'm a slots degenerate and tournament play is my favourite format, but the whole thing lives or dies on the wagering side β like, does every spin count towards the leaderboard or only certain games? And is there a deposit needed to enter or can you climb on whatever you'd spin anyway?
Been burnt before by tourneys where the points basically only flow if you're betting big, which kills it for a small punter like me. If it's flat points per spin I'm 100% in, last time a format like that clicked for me I hit big and it paid for my whole week π₯ So yeah. Anyone got hands-on experience with how it tracks? Worth the deposit or just leaderboard bait?
The hit is close, I can feel it.
Same twitch here, threw a small deposit at it more out of curiosity than anything π
The honest answer is nobody's confirmed the leaderboard rules yet. Whether every spin counts or only qualifying games. And that's the whole ballgame with a tournament. If it's certain titles only, you're basically forcing yourself onto games you might not normally grind, and that kills the value fast.
My rule with these is simple: work out your bet per spin against the point scoring first. If points track turnover rather than wins, grinding it clean is just churning your bankroll for a leaderboard spot you probably won't hold by Sunday. I'd rather see someone clear a deposit bonus in profit than finish 14th on a tourney board chasing a prize they'll never touch. Still poking around the terms before I commit proper money to it, if the wagering on any attached free spins is heavy, it's dead on arrival for me. π₯πΈ
Bankroll discipline wins πΈ
Total noob here. What does "qualifying games" actually mean for the leaderboard, only certain slots count? π
New here, soaking it up.
Gidday Chris, qualifying games just means the casino only counts spins on a certain list of pokies towards the leaderboard. The tournament page will name them. So if you're grinding a dead slot that's not on the list, you're tipping NZ$ into the void and going nowhere on the ladder. Only ever found that out the hard way myself, turned a decent deposit into nothing once by not reading the rules first π check the promo terms before you spin.
I remember the old slots first-hand.
Yeah the qualifying games list is where I'd check before spinning a single dollar. I got burned the same way at another offshore joint once, bet a few NZ$ a spin on a pokie I liked, then realised it wasn't on the tournament list and the leaderboard didn't move an inch π These days I read the promo terms top to bottom before depositing, wagering contribution and all. Bankroll discipline wins again.
Cashing out in time is half the battle.
@Christchurch_Bro oof that stings π
I'm still learning the wagering side myself, so checking the pokies list first is going straight into my notes. Do you find the leaderboard pays out enough to bother? π€

Christchurch_Bro, you gotta be careful with those offshores... I always make sure the slots I like are on the list, obvi. Dragonia's the only one that hits big for me!! π₯π°π€
One slot, one love π°
Christchurch_Bro nailed it, I've been burned exactly the same way on a promo elsewhere π
My take on the Dragonia tournament: check the qualifying pokies list AND the wagering before you chuck your NZ$ in, because grinding a bonus with heavy turnover on a dead slot is just donation time. If the leaderboard rules ever get confirmed I'll throw a cheeky deposit at it though... this format pays when the games line up π₯π°

Seriously @Christchurch_Bro that's such good advice, always wanna check the qualifiers before I go nuts on a pokie, but honestly my memory is shot and I just end up losing my bank in style anyway π€£π. Sometimes I just forget and donate to the casino again instead. Hope nobody else gets totally flattened chasing a leaderboard that's just hype. πΏ
One more spin, promise.
