Heaps Of Wins wagering maths finally made simple (I think)
Decent effort by the opener, but "simple" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that title until we know two things: what the rollover multiplier actually is and which games contribute 100%. Every "simple" bonus I've ever tracked turns messy the moment the game weighting table comes out - play a low-contribution slot and your effective wagering triples while the balance sheet looks identical.
So before anyone deposits NZ$ at Heaps Of Wins, the questions worth pinning down are: how many times through the bonus (or bonus + deposit?), do the free spins winnings count into the same rollover, and does the fine print exclude high-variance titles or bonus buys entirely? I keep a spreadsheet for exactly this sort of thing, and the single most common trap is assuming "wagering" means one number when the terms define it as two. Once we've got the multiplier and the weighting list, the maths genuinely does get simple — it's arithmetic from there. Has anyone got their actual terms in front of them?
aye, the multiplier and the contribution table are where the real maths hides, no arguing that 😄 i've busted more banks than you've deposited and i still check the game list twice before touching a bonus, the old slots used to count everything towards rollover, these days you half expect the pokies that actually pay to be knocked down to 10% or chucked out completely. read the exclusions before you deposit, saves the heartache later.
I remember the old slots first-hand.
Otago's right, the contribution table is where the whole thing lives or dies. I treat clearing a rollover like a job. Set the bet per spin before I deposit, work out how many spins the turnover actually needs at that size, and if the maths says my bankroll can't survive the ride, I just play without the bonus. Cheaper lesson that way 😭
What I never get my head around: do the live table games and the jackpot pokies even tick the counter here, or do they sit at some pathetic fraction? Would rather know upfront than grind 200 spins and realise half of it counted for nothing. If anyone's cleared one at Heaps Of Wins recently, chur, how many times through did it end up being in practice? 💸
Bankroll discipline wins 💸
This is helping heaps, total noob here 😅 So if I put in NZ$20 and grab a bonus, I just multiply the bonus by the rollover and keep spinning pokies that count 100%? That's it? 🙏
Learning to clear wagering, go easy 🙏
RngGodGate basically asked what I was gonna ask 😅 but I've got a follow-up, when people say "contribution table", does that mean some pokies only count a fraction of each spin towards the rollover? Like the NZ$100 you spin might only tick over NZ$20 of it? That would explain why my last bonus took forever to clear 🙏

exactly right RollerChaser51, that's the trap 😄 if a game counts 20%, then a hundred bucks spun only knocks twenty off the rollover. so on a bonus with, say, a 40x requirement, spinning the wrong pokies at quarter contribution means you're grinding four times longer than you thought. always read the table first - learned that one the hard way back when the old slots hit different and counted everything, kids these days get a spreadsheet instead 😉
It's all hit and busted before, folks.
Yeah the contribution thing bit me once 😅 was grinding on my favourite slot for ages thinking I was flying, checked the table after and it counted way less than I thought. Now I check which pokies count 100% before I even deposit - saved me from that dead grind 🔥🎰
One slot, one love 🎰
John_Gold that pain sounds familiar 😅 I made my first deposit recently and nearly did the same thing, was spinning my usual pokies for ages before someone on here pointed out half of them barely count towards rollover. Now I check the contribution table first every time, feels tedious but it saves so much grinding.
Caveat though: even the 100% ones sometimes get excluded for bonus players, or certain ones are blocked entirely while clearing a bonus. Learned that the awkward way 🙈 So maybe I'm being dumb but does anyone know if Heaps Of Wins lists excluded games separately from the contribution table? Like two lists or one? Also still not clear to me how you actually know when you've cleared it - do they email you or do you just keep checking some tracker in your account? 🙏

John_Gold that check-the-table-first habit is exactly what I'm trying to build 😅 maybe a dumb question, but do excluded games still eat your balance while you're grinding the rollover?
New here, soaking it up.
@ReelDivaGold Not a dumb question at all, and yes, excluded games drain your balance normally, they just contribute zero to the rollover. I always screenshot the excluded games list before accepting a bonus, same as I'd want cashout proof before believing any "it paid" story. Spin anything else and you're paying the house for nothing.
RTP doesn't lie, win screenshots do.
Good question from ReelDivaGold, and the answer is yes, excluded games still burn your real balance as you spin, they just don't move the rollover counter at all, so you can go broke clearing nothing. My rule is simple: keep a wee spreadsheet of contribution percentages and expected spins needed, then check whether your spin sample is even likely to survive the variance before you deposit. 📊
RTP is a long-run number.
Yeah nah, same trap here 😅 now I just open the contribution table before I deposit and stick to my favourite slot only when it counts full. Makes clearing the rollover way less of a grind 🔥
@WhaleGG yep learnt that the hard way, burnt like NZ$80 spinning an excluded pokie once and cleared nothing 😭 now I only grind my favourite when it counts full, way less painful ah well
Backing my slot to the last spin.

@RideTheVarianceHQ NZ$80 on an excluded pokie is rough aye 😭 did the same thing, now I grind my favourite full count only - way less painful and it actually pays when it hits 🔥
The hit is close, I can feel it.

@NeonX same aye, full count grinding on my favourite slot cleared a rollover for me last month, ended up NZ$260 up when it finally hit 🤑🎰 way less pain that way
The hit is close, I can feel it.
@NeonX been there mate, turned 50 into 5k once but also fed a rollover into an excluded pokie back when I trusted the promo page more than my own eyes 😄 full count grinding is the patient way alright, no glory but the balance lasts. out of interest, does Heaps of Wins actually show the contribution percentages somewhere, or do you have to email support to find out?
I remember the old slots first-hand.

@Diamond_win2012 50 into 5k is the dream aye 😱 but yeah excluded pokie rollover pain is real, lost NZ$60 that way before I learned to check the contribution list twice 🙈 gotta admit though I only ever grind my all-time favourite slot anyway, this slot pays, even during wagering, cashed a decent hit last week mid-rollover 🔥🤑

@MikeBet grinding one pokie through the whole rollover works till it doesn't, learned that the hard way on a Heaps Of Wins bonus when my go-to counted 10% and the wagering just never moved. Now I check the contribution list before I spin, bet small per spin and treat clearing as the job, the hit is a bonus. Got a cashout screenshot from my last cleared bonus somewhere, might dig it out for Wellington15 😄
Bonus taken, wagering cleared.

@WhaleGG this is the bit everyone misses aye, balance still dies while the counter just sits there 😭 I got clipped on an excluded pokie once, never again, fave only full count now 🔥🎰

@WhaleGG this is why I flat-bet the whole rollover on whatever counts 100%, even if it's a slot I'm lukewarm on. Bet NZ$0.50 a spin, grind it out, and only chase my favourites once the bonus is banked and cashed out. Going broke on excluded games is just donating to the house 😭💸
ngl flat-betting the rollover on full count games is the only sane way aye 😭 I got burned once spinning a pokie that contributed zero and the balance just melted, never again 🔥 now it's my favourite slot every evening till the wagering clears, then I chase the big hits 🤑🎰

@MikeBet grinding one pokie through the whole wagering is basically emotional support at that point 😂 I did the same with my old favourite till the rollover ate NZ$80 of a bonus and my bank left in style anyway. Now I read the contribution list like it's my ex's texts, twice minimum 🤣 one more spin, promise

@Payout_Analyst the rollover eating your balance mid-wagering is the part nobody posts about, eh. Everyone screams when a bonus hits, then goes quiet when the contribution list quietly drops their pokie to 10%.
Funny how this thread has three win stories and zero cashout screenshots so far. MikeBet says his slot "pays even during wagering", Mike, got a cashout screenshot? Because "the balance lasted" while grinding a rollover usually just means you lost it slower.
My rule after one bad promo experience: if the T&Cs make me check twice which games count, I already know the answer. Heaps Of Wins wagering maths being "finally simple" is a red flag in itself, in my book.
