Finally someone wrote this up properly, because the number of punters who eyeball a rollover and hope for the best genuinely surprises me. I keep a sheet for exactly this, every bonus I take, I work out the effective turnover in NZ$, then adjust it by game weighting before I even think about playing. Because that's the bit the terms pages bury: a slot counting 10% towards wagering turns a manageable rollover into a dead one.
My usual workflow: turnover required, divided by expected contribution rate, gives you the true amount you have to push through. Then it all hinges on volatility, high variance means a longer drought while the wagering clock ticks, which is where most people actually bust, rather than the maths being impossible. So a question for the OP and the thread: are you factoring game weighting into your worked examples? Without it the walkthrough is only half the picture, and that half is where the guessers get burned. 📊

No worries missus, nobody was born knowing this stuff 😄 game weighting just means the casino counts different games at different rates towards your rollover - pokies might count the full dollar of every NZ$ spin while table games or certain slots count a fraction, so your meter crawls. I turned 50 into 5k once back when the old slots hit different, but even then I copped a bonus where my favourite game only counted half and the wagering took twice as long as I'd figured. Check the T&Cs for the weighting table before you spin, saves a lot of pain.

Yeah pokies is the only sane play on that bonus, weighting kills table games. I run small spins per bet to stretch the wagering and cash out the second the meter clears. Discipline's the whole game. Burned myself last week chasing after a bonus cleared and gave it all back 💸 lesson stuck.
