Finally cleared the Lucky Nugget welcome bonus, here's how it went
Weeks of grinding on one welcome bonus - that's real dedication π I did a similar rollover on Lucky Nugget last year and the no conversion fees thing is exactly why I bothered. Depositing in NZ$ instead of USD meant my bankroll took every hit at face value, no sneaky exchange rate eating into each top-up while I was clearing wagering.
What were you spinning at, and what bet per spin did you run? I tend to go low stakes like 40c-60c a spin when clearing a bonus so the variance doesn't gut me before it hits. Did any bonus actually land during the rollover or did you just grind it dead to the finish line? Fire the details π°
Bankroll discipline wins πΈ
good on ya for sticking it out, kid, most punters give up halfway. NZ$ deposits with no conversion bite is half the battle won π
It's all hit and busted before, folks.
Cleared one there myself a while back, grinding in NZ$ makes it so much less painful aye, no sneaky conversion bite nibbling at every deposit π€ The rollover felt endless some nights but when the pokies finally warmed up it was worth it...
The hit is close, I can feel it.
Chur for the breakdowns, all of you π
Maybe I'm being dumb here but I'm only a few spins into my first bonus at Lucky Nugget and the rollover already feels like a marathon. How did you blokes stay sane grinding for weeks, was it low bets on slots the whole way, or did you mix it up? The NZ$ deposit with no conversion nibbling away is honestly why I picked them too, every dollar in the bankroll counts when you're clearing a wager like me. Thanks BankrollGod and Tauranga_Loyal, that helps a lot π
Learning to clear wagering, go easy π
No dumb question at all, mate. The rollover marathon is where most punters fall over. I mixed it up the whole way through mine: kept the bets small while the pokies were dead, and once one warmed up I'd let it ride a bit before dropping back down. Grinding flat stakes the entire time will do your head in, honest. And nah, you're not being dumb, weeks on one welcome bonus is normal, the thing felt endless to me too some nights.
Best advice I can give is treat it like a long shearing run, not a sprint. Chase no conversion fees being on your side (deposited in NZ$ here, which helps), check which games actually count towards the wagering before you spin, and don't let greed talk you into chasing when a session goes sour. Greed busted more banks for me than bad luck ever did π It'll clear eventually. Patience pays slower than a jackpot but it does pay.
I remember the old slots first-hand.
That bit about letting a warm pokie ride before dropping back down is exactly what saved my sanity π
I'm total noob here, only cleared my first Lucky Nugget bonus recently, and I nearly gave up halfway like most punters seem to. My mistake was grinding too hard on games I hated just because they were dead cheap β once I swapped to ones I actually enjoyed, the rollover felt way less brutal. Still got caught out though, didn't realise some spins counted less towards the wagering than others π lesson learnt, check the terms before you start, not after!
New here, soaking it up.
Weeks of grinding for a welcome bonus... sure, post the screenshot when it's actually withdrawn π NZ$ deposits are nice but the rollover still eats you alive. π€‘πΈ
A paper win won't feed you.
I'm grinding my first Lucky Nugget bonus right now and low bets are the only thing keeping me sane π
part of me worries small spins mean it takes forever though, maybe I'm being dumb? π

Cleared mine and actually cashed out, so the clown emoji aged well π MissFortuneVegas you're doing it right - I ran bet 2 a spin while the pokies were dead and only bumped it when something warmed up. Wagering takes forever on small bets, yeah, but bankroll discipline wins more often than chasing it back in one tilt π₯

@SamRotorua832 that bet 2 a spin trick is handy, cheers π quick question though. Does upping the bet when it warms up burn through the wagering faster? Still learning bonuses, maybe I'm being dumb π

@SamRotorua832 spot on mate, that bet 2 grind works a treat π° ChrisInvercargill - yep, bumping the bet chews wagering faster but riskier too. My all-time favourite pokie finally paid me there last week... π₯π°

@SamRotorua832 same approach here, bet 2 while it's cold then bump only when the bonus round lands, if you raise it early you just torch the bankroll before the wagering's done π I got greedy once last week, doubled my spin size chasing a warm streak, went dead straight after and coughed up half of what I'd banked. MissFortuneVegas, small spins are boring but cashing out in time is everything, patience pays πΈ
Bonus taken, wagering cleared.

@ChrisInvercargill not dumb at all, decent question. Yes, a NZ$4 spin contributes NZ$4 to the wagering against NZ$2, so you clear it twice as fast, the catch is variance doubles too, and SweetAsLocal already showed what happens when the "warm" streak dies right after you bump. My rule: raise the bet only with surplus from a bonus round payout, never out of the base bankroll, and remember pokie streaks have no memory, on a small spin sample "warm" is mostly noise.
RTP is a long-run number.
@WhaleGG cheers, that helps a lot π so the NZ$2 grind is slower but keeps my bankroll alive longer, might stick to that while I'm still learning bonuses π

@OneMoreSpinMode smart move mate, the NZ$2 grind is the only way that Lucky Nugget wagering survives longer than your bankroll does π MikeBet's up NZ$200 this week but ask him again in a month - house always wins, so where's the profit? πΈ
Here to argue, not to clap for your profit.

@Chur_Mad581 profit's real when you cash out in time, mate. Cleared the Lucky Nugget wagering, hit, withdrew, done. House wins the long game, bonus hunters play short ones πΈ

@OneMoreSpinMode good plan mate, grind while you learn π
but don't sleep on a bit of luck, hit big last night on my favourite and it shredded the Lucky Nugget wagering π₯π€ ah well, either way works
One slot, one love π°
@Degen24 good on ya mate, when a favourite rips through the wagering like that you take the money and don't ask questions π
Funny thing though, luck and grind aren't really rivals. Turned 50 bucks into 5k once on the old Mega Moolah back when RTP felt fairer, and that hit only happened because I'd grinded through a bonus slow enough to still be standing when the reels lined up. The bloke who blasts through Lucky Nugget's wagering at NZ$5 a spin is usually out before luck gets a turn. So grind while you learn, sure, but keep a bit of that NZ$200 aside for when the luck dries up, eh π
I remember the old slots first-hand.

@WhaleGG yep the maths checks out but honestly I've cleared bonuses way faster on hot pokies than any grind plan, my all-time favourite just rips through wagering when it pays π₯ Last NZ$4 bump I did turned into a decent hit, up over NZ$200 off one bonus round ngl π€π€

@Danny_RTP every evening, eh? That's proper commitment π
I'm still slogging through the Lucky Nugget wagering on my first bonus, half the games seem to count less than I expected. Does that slot actually contribute 100%?
New here, soaking it up.
ah the old contribution tables, that's where first bonuses chew people up π most slots count 100% at lucky nugget but the tables and a few games either count sweet nothing or a fraction, so check the terms before you pick your game. took me one busted NZ$100 deposit years back to learn that the hard way. ask support for the exact list, they'll send it over, saves you hours of slogging for nothing π
I remember the old slots first-hand.
Good on ya for dragging it over the line, genuinely. I gave the Lucky Nugget no deposit bonus a crack ages ago and the wagering chewed me up before I got anywhere near a withdrawal. Everyone raves about the Jackpot City welcome bonus too, but same story, 50x through on pokies that barely pay. Casino Kingdom's offer is the only one I've seen where a mate actually cashed out NZ$40 and legged it before they could win it back. Funny how that works eh. π€‘
So the bonus cleared, pics of the balance or it didn't happen π and how much of it survived the playthrough, if any? Half these "cleared it" threads end with the poor punter busted by Friday anyway. The house always wins, you just got to watch it happen in slow motion. πΈπ
