Does anyone actually rate the cashback deal at Lets Lucky Casino?

Cashback deals mostly keep punters depositing rather than paying them anything real, in my long experience. I've busted more banks than you've deposited, kids, and the little "here's some back" email always reads sweeter than the wagering attached to it actually is 😄 Haven't run the numbers on Lets Lucky myself, so I'll ask rather than preach: what's the rollover on their cashback, and which games count towards clearing it? That's the whole maths in two questions. If you're clearing it on pokies at full weight it can be fine value, if it comes with dead restrictions then chasing it is just a way to talk yourself into one more deposit. The old slots hit different, sure, but a bonus with strings on it hits nobody. Someone who's actually cleared it, did you end up ahead or just spinning longer?
I remember the old slots first-hand.

Danny's got the right instinct, honestly. A cashback email landing in your inbox feels like the house admitting you lost, which it is, dressed up nicely. The question with the Lets Lucky one is what the rollover does to it before you can touch it. Run the expected value in your head: if the cashback carries wagering, its real value is the headline figure times the house edge you bleed clearing it. On a high-volatility slot the variance eats the recovery before you get anywhere; on a low-vol grind the wagering is survivable but the edge grinds the cashback down each spin. There's no version where it adds value, only versions where it loses less of it. I'd chase it only if it credited as real cash with no strings, and I haven't seen the actual terms on that one, so I'd want someone here to post what the playthrough actually is before anyone treats it as a reason to deposit. Your spin sample on any single promo is tiny anyway; one decent hit and the whole debate feels moot for a week. 📊

Maybe I'm being dumb here, but when you lot say rollover on the cashback - does that mean I have to wager it like a bonus before withdrawing? 😅 New to this, go easy on me.

Not dumb at all, dear, good question. Rollover just means the cashback lands like any bonus: you have to spin through it a set number of times before it turns into real money you can draw out. Say you get NZ$20 back with 3x rollover, you'd need NZ$60 worth of spins first, and if you bust through that, the cashback's dead. Ask them what the multiple and weighting are at Lets Lucky; that tells you if it's worth chasing 😉

It's all hit and busted before, folks.

MissFortuneVegas, to answer you directly: yes, in almost every cashback setup the money lands as bonus funds with wagering attached, and only after you've spun through it the required number of times does any of it convert to withdrawable cash. Tauranga_Loyal's summary is spot on. The nuance I'd flag, having kept a sheet on these things: cashback and a deposit bonus look similar on the surface but behave differently once you do the maths. A cashback is calculated on net losses, so it partially refunds money you've already burnt, then the rollover puts variance back on top of it. Think of it this way. RTP is long-run, not one session, and wagering a cashback is a fresh run of sessions with fresh house edge eating into it. Whether the Lets Lucky one is worth chasing depends entirely on how many times through the rollover is and which games count towards it, and I haven't seen those terms confirmed in this thread yet. Keen to hear from anyone who's actually read the fine print. 📊

@OtagoLocal spot on. Rollover cashback only works if the playthrough is light, otherwise you're just spinning bonus money with your own bankroll risked. Read the T&Cs before chasing it 💸

MissFortuneVegas asked exactly what I was gonna ask 😅 cheers OtagoLocal, that helps. Still learning bonuses but yeah, cashback with rollover always sounds better than it plays for me.

turned 50 into 5k once on the old Book of Ra days, and cashback would've been a rounding error on that run 😄 my two cents on the Lets Lucky one: it's fine as a little cushion after a rough patch, but once the rollover's bolted onto it you're basically spinning bonus money again, so chase it only if you'd be playing anyway. MissFortune, your instinct's spot on. Worth it as a top-up, never a reason to deposit. keen to hear if anyone's actually cleared one and drawn it out though.

@Diamond_win2012 exactly this. Cashback with rollover is just a delayed bonus dressed up as a rebate, and by the time you've cleared it you've usually donated more than it was worth. Only worth chasing if the playthrough is genuinely light and your usual games count at full weight. For me it's a bankroll discipline thing. If I'm down NZ$200 and the cashback claws back NZ$30 at 3x through, fine, that's a cheap top-up at maybe NZ$1 a spin on the pokies I was playing anyway. But if the wagering is heavy or they weight the good games down, I'd rather just deposit fresh when I actually feel like a session. I stopped treating cashback as "profit" years ago, it's only money back on money already gone 😭 Anyone here actually cleared one at Lets Lucky and cashed out end to end? Curious if it hit or didn't in practice.
Bankroll discipline wins 💸

Doesn't it always feel surreal when a game throws up those massive wins, like when you hit 5k? Cashback feels like comfort money, a nice soft landing after a rough run, but mechanically, it’s all just a form of delay. What Diamond_win2012 mentions about the rollover attaching to it is exactly where the EV calculation shifts from positive to something far more marginal. It's fundamentally just turning a partial return into another betting pool. If you look at the variance curve of a slot, that cushion from the cashback only helps damp the *downside* fluctuation temporarily. But once you have to meet the playthrough requirements, you're spending your spin sample trying to generate profit with capital that already has sunk value. Honestly, I find that chasing those padded deals is often less mathematically sound than sticking to a steady, higher RTP game without the restrictive bonus condition. 📊
RTP is a long-run number.
